Meet The Team

  • Steve has been a Baptist Pastor for over 30 years, walking alongside people through faith, growth, and life’s ups and downs. He’s led teams, navigated governance and change management, and worked extensively with not-for-profits. Along the way, he’s helped countless individuals and teams find clarity, purpose, and resilience. He also has a special passion for supporting neurodivergent leaders, particularly those with ADHD and Autism.

Beyond his work, Steve loves to travel and appreciates a good cup of coffee (single origin pour-over anyone?). He’s married to Vicki, and together they’ve raised three adult kids and now get to enjoy the joy of grandparenthood.

At SoulSpace Pathways, Steve offers professional supervision, spiritual direction, retreats, and pastoral coaching—bringing both warmth and wisdom to the people he supports.

In addition to being a Qualified Supervisor and Spiritual Director, Steve is a vowed member of The Order of the Mustard Seed, a global lay movement committed to prayer, mission, and justice.

    His qualifications include:

    • Diploma of Biblical Studies (Burleigh College)

    • Bachelor of Ministries (Australian College of Theology)

    • Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Direction (Tabor College)

    • Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision (Charles Sturt University/St. Mark’s College)

He’s also a member of the Ecumenical Spiritual Directors Association of SA and The Australasian Association of Supervision.

  • Mentor, Coach, and Pastoral Companion

Vicki brings deep compassion, practical wisdom, and years of experience working with young people and those on the margins. She’s worked in youth ministry, mentoring, school chaplaincy, counselling, and alongside First Nations teens. Vicki has a real heart for mentoring young women stepping into ministry—offering a down-to-earth, supportive space as they figure out their calling, face challenges, and find their voice.

With a Diploma of Theology and certificates in Community Services, Counselling, and Pastoral Care, Vicki’s approach is both practical and personal. She’s not just about advice—she’s about creating a safe space to be honest, reflect, and figure out the next steps with confidence.

Vicki loves being a mum and Grammie, and family is a big part of what keeps her grounded and inspired. Her passion for walking alongside others continues to shape everything she does.

At SoulSpace Pathways, Vicki is here to help emerging leaders take a breath, feel seen, and get the support they need for the journey ahead.

Vicki takes on a small number of people at any one time and does not charge for her accompaniment. To contact Vicki, please use the email form below.

FAQs

Why Reflective Practice?

Reflective practice is essential because it fosters deeper self-awareness and critical thinking, allowing individuals to assess their experiences, decisions, and behaviours. By engaging in reflection, one can identify strengths and areas for growth, ultimately enhancing personal and professional development.

What’s the difference between Supervision and Spiritual Direction?

Supervision and Spiritual Direction serve distinct purposes in the journey of personal and professional development.

Supervision focuses on enhancing professional practice, providing a reflective space for individuals to assess their work-related experiences, challenges, and ethical dilemmas, often within a team or organisational context.

In contrast, Spiritual Direction is a more personal exploration of one’s spiritual journey, emphasising your relationship with God and facilitating deeper self-awareness and growth in faith.

While both processes are supportive and enriching, Supervision centres on professional development, whereas Spiritual Direction nurtures individual spirituality and personal insight.

What can we talk about?

We can discuss a wide range of topics that matter to you, from personal experiences and professional challenges to goals and aspirations. It’s important to note that Steve is not a therapist; instead, he serves as a supportive guide as you explore your thoughts and feelings. The agenda is entirely yours, allowing you to shape the conversation according to your needs and interests, ensuring a meaningful and relevant experience.

How much does it cost?

At SoulSpace Pathways, our fees are structured to reflect the value of the services offered. Professional Supervision and Ministry Coaching are available at a rate of $150 per hour, while Spiritual Direction has a recommended contribution of $75 per hour.
